Our Services

At Trillium Vision Care, we are committed to providing the services our patients need throughout every phase of life – from routine eye examinations and quality eyewear, to the treatment of eye diseases and preventative programs. Our goal is to deliver customized solutions, as well as expertise, information and thoughtful service, so you can feel confident in the care you receive.

Eye Health Evaluation

With our years of experience in diagnosing and treating typical vision disorders such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, amblyopia, presbyopia, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, the optometrists and support team at Trillium Vision Care are equipped to provide appropriate therapeutic medical eye care. Although many do not realize it, the best way to protect your vision is with a yearly eye checkup. Our thorough, efficient eye exam can instantly detect health-threatening conditions, including tumors, vascular irregularities and diabetes-related injury to the retina.

Eyeglasses & Contacts

We offer a wide selection of quality eyewear products at reasonable prices. We’ll walk you through our collection of on-trend eyeglasses, top-brand contact lenses, sunglasses, progressive and bifocal lenses, and help you find the products that are right for your needs, daily life and style preferences.

Treatment for Eye Disease

If you are diagnosed with an eye disease such as dry eye, conjunctivitis, glaucoma, or macular degeneration, you want only the best treatment available to get your eyes healthy again. At Trillium Vision Care, we offer only the best. Based on your diagnosis, we may recommend a wide variety of approaches, including improved nutrition, prescription medicines, therapy and vision exercises, or medical procedures.

We utilize the Optomap Retinal Exam to get an ultra-widefield view of the retina (the back of the eye). In addition to evaluating prescription changes and the health of the front of the eye, a thorough screening of the retina is a critical component of your vision and eye health examination. Traditionally, your doctor uses eye drops to dilate your pupils and is limited to evaluating your retina in sections. This new technology gives you and your doctor an unprecedented view and is the only method that makes it possible to see your entire retina at once. The exam is quick, painless, and may eliminate the need for eye drops.

One in every 10 children is at risk for undiagnosed eye and vision problems, yet only 13 percent of children younger than 2 years of age have seen a vision care professional for a regular checkup or well-care visit.

InfantSEE, a public health program managed by optometry charity the AOA Foundation, is designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. Under this program, AOA optometrists provide a comprehensive eye and vision assessment for infants 6 to 12 months of age, regardless of a family’s income or access to insurance coverage.

LASIK is the most popular surgical procedure used to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. In most cases, it can eliminate or reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses. We are proud to work with several area LASIK surgeons to help provide this service for you. If you would like to find out if you are a candidate for this procedure, just give us a call to set up a consultation.

Vision & Learning Vision Therapy

Many of the children we see in our office pass vision screenings, yet they struggle with undiagnosed vision problems. It is important for parents to understand that vision screenings provided by a pediatrician or school nurse do not replace an eye exam. The ability to see the letters on an eye chart is just one of 17 visual skills that are critical to reading and learning. Some of these skills include eye movement (tracking), focusing, eye teaming (convergence), and eye-hand coordination.

Like many skills, visual skills are developed and can generally be improved through proper therapeutic techniques. One option is for vision therapy, which offers an individualized treatment program using specialized eye exercises and equipment that help teach the patient how to use their eyes correctly, as well as helping them better understand what they see.
